The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a hook to the side of Haperen's head but Haperen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Haperen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Haperen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Thomas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Haperen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Haperen and Thomas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Thomas has hold of Haperen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Haperen seems comfortable defending it but Thomas has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Haperen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Haperen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Thomas couldn't care less - he's delighted!
