DeMaio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. hui looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DeMaio wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by hui, who protects the arm well.

DeMaio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

DeMaio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, hui has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for DeMaio but great work by hui.

hui thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
DeMaio is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
