The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo fails with the takedown.

Johnson cracks Aldo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Aldo shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Aldo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnson lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aldo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Johnson lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Aldo! More strikes land and this one is all over! Johnson jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
