Cormier comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor -- Eye of the Tiger. Daniel Cormier could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Igor Emelianenko's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cormier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cormier is trying to control. Emelianenko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cormier wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Emelianenko uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cormier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Emelianenko holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cormier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
