Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pete McGurdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wu-Tang Clan - Bring Da Ruckus. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete McGurdy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Lee!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGurdy clinches with his opponent.
McGurdy landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
McGurdy tries a knee to the head but Lee blocks it.
McGurdy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lee lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
McGurdy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lee is defending well for now.
Lee is trying to break the clinch but McGurdy has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGurdy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lee takes an elbow to the temple.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but McGurdy keeps him there for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee fails to pull guard.
Lee wants to break free but McGurdy has control.
McGurdy trying to land knees to the body.
Lee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McGurdy walks away with a smile on his face. Lee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGurdy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McGurdy misses with a body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGurdy sprawls well. McGurdy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
Pete McGurdy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Lee.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

McGurdy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from McGurdy.
McGurdy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McGurdy circles away from the clinch attempt.
McGurdy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lee wants to clinch up but McGurdy keeps it at a distance.
Lee keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
McGurdy connects with a crisp jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
McGurdy closes the distance looking to clinch

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pete McGurdy will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McGurdy misses with a looping left.
Nice sprawl there from McGurdy as Lee shoots in.
McGurdy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGurdy fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McGurdy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McGurdy tries to get out of the position.

Lee has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Lee takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Lee is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. McGurdy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Lee has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! McGurdy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Lee doesn't care though - he's delighted!
