The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mies lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mies.
Mies misses with a looping left.
Horrible takedown by Baine or perhaps it was just good defense by Mies which made him look bad.
Mies stuffs the takedown attempt from Baine. Baine gets slowly back to his feet.
Baine tries to clinch up.
Baine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mies avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nolan Baine. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mies will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mies swivels and escapes.
Mies sends Baine crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mies is motioning to the referee to let Baine up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Mies grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Baine takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Mies cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
