Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vj Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarred Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Vj Castillo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castillo's half guard.
Castillo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Castillo tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control.

I looks like Smith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Castillo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jarred Smith just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Smith is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Castillo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Castillo shrugs it off.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Smith is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The referee warns Castillo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Smith feints and as Castillo raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Castillo wants to hit a switch here but Smith passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Castillo there!

Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Smith has hold of Castillo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Castillo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
