The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cyrus closes the distance and clinches.
Cyrus looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cyrus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of brasi backwards.
Cyrus working hard to break the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Cyrus.
brasi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cyrus just stands there and leans against the cage.
brasi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cyrus walks away with a smile on his face. brasi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Randy Cyrus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cyrus tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and brasi is able to avoid easily.

Cyrus drives through and clinches with brasi against the cage.
brasi prevents Cyrus from breaking the clinch.
brasi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cyrus smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luca brasi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
brasi walks into a straight right hand from Cyrus.

brasi tries to keep at a distance but Cyrus has taken the fight into the clinch.

Cyrus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

brasi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
brasi tries for a takedown but Cyrus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cyrus has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cyrus tries to break free but brasi pushes him back against the cage.
brasi fails to pull guard.
Cyrus lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down brasi.

Cyrus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cyrus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
brasi won't allow Cyrus to get back to his feet.
brasi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
brasi wants to control from the top but Cyrus keeps moving.
brasi stops Cyrus from standing up.
Cyrus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with brasi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
brasi trying to control the position from guard on top but Cyrus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

brasi forces his way into half guard.
brasi wants to control but Cyrus is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
brasi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cyrus shoots in and bounces brasi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cyrus looks gassed!
brasi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
brasi putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Cyrus is trying to escape the mount.
brasi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

brasi working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Cyrus looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by brasi! Submission of the night perhaps?
