The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jodan tries to close the distance and clinch but Wesson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jodan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wesson sprawls well initially but Jodan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Wesson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jodan sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Jodan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wesson's waist but Wesson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jodan off to one side.
