Daniel comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Don't Forget Me. Riley Daniel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, San Vedita!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vedita shoots in looking for a takedown. Daniel tries to sprawl out of it but Vedita keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Daniel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Daniel scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Vedita shoots in and bounces Daniel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vedita wanted to stand there but Daniel had control of the position.

Daniel has his feet on Vedita's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Vedita walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vedita closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vedita lands in his opponent's guard.

Daniel gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Daniel tries to bum rush Vedita with a series of wild strikes but Vedita uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Vedita is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Daniel's half guard.
Vedita seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Daniel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vedita's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vedita's back!

Vedita wants to get up but he can't break Daniel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Daniel is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Vedita rolls with it to try and escape but Daniel cranks on the arm and Vedita is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
