The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers fails in his attempt to clinch.
Watanabe throws out a loose jab but Mathers uses good head movement to avoid it.
Watanabe thows a body shot but no joy.
Mathers avoids the body shot from Watanabe.
Watanabe scores with a three punch combo!

Mathers is rocked!
Mathers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Watanabe.
Watanabe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oh Mathers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Watanabe stuffs the takedown.
Mathers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Watanabe drops Mathers with a left and a right! Oh, Mathers is hurt - Watanabe dives into side control looking to finish!
Mathers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mathers is pressing down on Watanabe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Watanabe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mathers not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mathers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Watanabe is one step ahead there.
Mathers seems to have got his legs back now.

Watanabe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mathers to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Watanabe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mathers pulls down on the head and he's put Watanabe to sleep! This one is all over!
