The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Thompson scores with a hook.
Thompson throws a one two combo.
Thompson keeps the fight on the outside.
Thompson lands a two punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thompson has Fernandes up against the cage in a clinch.
Fernandes struggles to land a body shot inside as Thompson controls his hands.
Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fernandes blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Thompson looks for a takedown but Fernandes sprawls well.
Fernandes closes the distance but Thompson moves to the side
and Thompson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fernandes is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fernandes looks gassed!
The fighters circle, before Thompson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Fernandes's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Thompson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
