Car comes to the cage accompanied by intoxication. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomasz Puchacz!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puchacz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Puchacz misses with a takedown attempt - Car sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Puchacz swats away the attempt to clinch by Car.

Car darts in and clinches Puchacz up against the cage.
Puchacz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Car fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Car moves in looking to clinch but Puchacz pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Car looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Car wants to clinch up but Puchacz keeps it at a distance.
Car is looking to clinch.

Puchacz gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Puchacz stands up and beckons Car to his feet.
Car tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Car connects with a solid leg kick.
Puchacz takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Puchacz looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Car is defended easily by Puchacz.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Car.
Puchacz swats away the attempt to clinch by Car.

Car clinches up with Puchacz and pushes him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A quick uppercut on the inside from Car.
Car lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Car taking a breather.
Car lands an elbow just above Puchacz 's eye.
Car lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Puchacz takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Tomasz Puchacz has been cut.
Car with a knee to the head.

Car's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Car has Puchacz up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Car is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Puchacz pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Car is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Puchacz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karlo Car. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Car tries to pull guard but Puchacz holds him up against the cage and eventually Car drops back down to his feet.
Car will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Puchacz up against the cage.
Puchacz has Car pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Car manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Car stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Car breaks the clinch.
Car shoots and misses

and Puchacz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Car wants to get back to his feet.
Puchacz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Car trying to control here.
Still in half guard, Puchacz seems content to control.
Nice strikes from Puchacz there.
Puchacz controlling the action here.
Puchacz not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Puchacz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Puchacz is working for a submission of some sort.
Car tries to kick Puchacz off but Puchacz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karlo Car dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tomasz Puchacz's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Car shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puchacz as he jumps to the side.

Puchacz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Puchacz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Car could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Puchacz has cracked it and Car is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Puchacz!
