Sequeira is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Junior Jack - E Samba. James Woodcock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woodcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Sequeira!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodcock cracks Sequeira with an open hand slap.
Sequeira takes one to the side of the head.
Sequeira throws a hook but Woodcock blocks it.
Woodcock takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Woodcock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Woodcock slaps away a takedown attempt from Sequeira, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Well, if Sequeira is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Woodcock tries to kick Sequeira off but Sequeira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sequeira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woodcock, who protects the arm well.
Woodcock tries to escape but Sequeira is in control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Woodcock, as that shot connected.

and Woodcock counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Woodcock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sequeira is just riding it out for now. Woodcock eventually gives up the hold.

Woodcock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sequeira's head.

Sequeira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodcock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Woodcock distracts Sequeira with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sequeira wants to sweep here but Woodcock controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sequeira drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Woodcock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sequeira's half guard.

Woodcock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sequeira did well to prevent Woodcock getting side control.
Sequeira is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Woodcock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Woodcock's back!

Sequeira postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Woodcock is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sequeira, into his guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sequeira swings around for an armbar but Woodcock sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sequeira's guard.

Well Woodcock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
