The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jo Jo Junior paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Foster wants to clinch.
Foster staying out of range there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Foster.
Foster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jo Jo Junior.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jo Jo Junior throws a looping overhand right but Foster ducks down to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Foster throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jo Jo Junior throws a nice looking combination but Foster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jo Jo Junior is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Foster's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Foster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jo Jo Junior's waist but Jo Jo Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foster off to one side.
Joey Jo Jo Junior has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Foster.
Foster uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jo Jo Junior.

That has opened up Ben Foster's cut even more.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Foster is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jo Jo Junior is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Foster.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Foster might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Jo Jo Junior has got the better of the exchanges.
Foster is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foster takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Jo Jo Junior lands a left and a right that send Foster crashing to the mat, dazed. Jo Jo Junior thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jo Jo Junior is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Foster can do to turn this around?

Jo Jo Junior lands a big uppercut and Foster crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Foster looks OK. Jo Jo Junior waves Foster back to his feet!

Ben Foster's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Foster takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ben Foster's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
