The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holle looks to land a right hand but Riddick moved out of range.
Holle misses the jab.
Riddick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holle was well out of range. Poor timing from Riddick.
Holle misses with a head kick.
Holle buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Riddick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holle as he avoids it easily.
Holle throws a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riddick looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Riddick is controlling the pace.
Riddick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Riddick is looking to take a break and control but Holle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Riddick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Holle walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Riddick checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Riddick has managed to clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Holle can't break the clinch.
Holle tries to stall but Riddick uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Holle wants to break free but Riddick has control.
Holle wants to get back to striking at distance but Riddick won't allow it.
Riddick lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Riddick trying to control the position but instead, Holle has worked for underhooks and has pushed Riddick into the cage.
Riddick makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Holle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Riddick walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Holle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Riddick circles away quickly and effectively.
Holle leaves Riddick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Holle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Riddick counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Riddick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Holle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riddick is controlling him.
Riddick wants to control from the top but Holle keeps moving.

Riddick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Holle wants to get back to his feet but Riddick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Holle pulls Riddick in close to prevent any damage.

Riddick is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Holle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Holle has escaped and now he's on top!
Holle wants to control from the top but Riddick keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Riddick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Holle is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Riddick looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Holle has picked Riddick up and slammed him! Riddick can't keep hold of the triangle and Holle manages to pass to side control!

Holle decides to stand back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
