Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samurai Oceans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samurai Oceans!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin swinging wildly here.
Carwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oceans moves away.
Oceans throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Carwin misses with a body shot.
Oceans throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A looping hook to the body misses from Carwin. Oceans does a little dance to reset his feet.
Carwin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Carwin misses the shot to the body.
Oceans throws a combination that misses
and Carwin counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Oceans closes the distance and pushes Carwin back into the cage.
Oceans stalling against the cage.
Carwin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Carwin tries to throw a body punch but Oceans avoids it by throwing Carwin back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Carwin's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Carwin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Oceans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carwin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oceans.
Oceans misses with a body shot
and Carwin counters with a two punch combo.

Oceans has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carwin works on Oceans's body with a couple of short punches.
Carwin looking to stall.
Carwin has a couple of punches blocked by Oceans.
Oceans blocks a body shot from Carwin.

Carwin cracks Oceans with a good jab.
Carwin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oceans was well out of range. Poor timing from Carwin.

Oceans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carwin.
Oceans defending well as Carwin loads up on a big left hand.
Oceans with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carwin to score with a decent uppercut.

Carwin wants to clinch but Oceans slips to the side

and Oceans holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Come on Oceans - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Oceans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oceans thows a body shot but no joy.
Shane Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carwin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Oceans takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oceans misses with a low kick as Carwin jumps back.
Oceans misses with a looping left.
Carwin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Oceans on the side of the head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carwin cracks Oceans with an open hand slap.


It looks like Samurai Oceans has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carwin fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carwin drops Oceans with a beautiful combination! Oceans stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carwin is looking for the KO!

and Oceans holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Oceans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Carwin lands a left and a right that send Oceans crashing to the mat, dazed. Carwin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Carwin connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Oceans out cold! This one is over in a flash!
