With the fighters clinched against the cage, Doom creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
simpson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Doom is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
simpson has Doom pressed against the cage, preventing Doom from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Doom keeps control of simpson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

simpson winds up and cracks Doom with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
simpson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
simpson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Doom on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Doom tries to get out of the position.

simpson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Doom is rocked!
simpson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Doom is hurt! He's hurt bad - simpson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Doom from any more punishment! Congratulations to simpson! Great finish!
