The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Forrest Mainhard has been cut.
Mainhard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reis.
Reis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mainhard.
Mainhard tries to bum rush Reis with a series of wild strikes but Reis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Reis ducks under a wild hook from Mainhard.
Mainhard misses with a series of wild punches.
Mainhard misses with a straight left.
Reis buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Reis shoots for a double leg takedown but Mainhard sprawls well. He's pushed Reis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mainhard leaves Reis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reis is looking to clinch but Mainhard is avoiding it.
Reis fails to land the takedown.
Forrest Mainhard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur Reis.

Mainhard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Reis sprawling to the canvas! Reis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mainhard finish him?!

Reis is rocked!

It looks like Arthur Reis has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mainhard.
Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Mainhard finish him?
Reis scores with a one two! Mainhard had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Reis seems to have recovered his senses.

Mainhard cracks Reis with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Reis looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mainhard finish him?
Mainhard throws a nice looking combination but Reis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mainhard steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Reis is out on his feet! Mainhard sets himself and nearly takes Reis's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
