Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slinky McDougle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

McDougle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Smith isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McDougle stacks Smith on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McDougle!
Smith is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.

Smith takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
