Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Meoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meoff has chosen IRONMAN as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jack Meoff will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Shepherd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Meoff!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meoff misses with a head kick.
Meoff is looking to clinch.
Meoff looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Shepherd shoots in but Meoff avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shepherd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Meoff sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shepherd avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meoff tries to clinch but Shepherd is having none of it.
Meoff throws a right hand that Shepherd ducks under and follows up with a left that Shepherd also avoids with ease.

Shepherd gets a takedown into half guard.
Shepherd blocks the strikes from Meoff.

Shepherd is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Meoff defends it well.

Shepherd is working for a kimura but Meoff is defending it quite comfortably.
Meoff regains full guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meoff looking for a guillotine here but Shepherd defends easily.

Shepherd is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Shepherd has gone for a leg lock! Meoff slips out almost immediately though and dives into Shepherd's guard.

Shepherd throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Meoff escapes and throws Shepherd's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Meoff stands up and beckons Shepherd to his feet.
Meoff scores with a leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Meoff tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Meoff throws and low kick but Shepherd moves out of range easily.
Jack Meoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meoff fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shepherd checks it well.

Shepherd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Shepherd has isolated one of Meoff's arms. Meoff looking to fight him off but Shepherd twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
