The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jitsu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ryuu looking to control but jitsu passes into half guard.
jitsu wants to work for an arm triangle but Ryuu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ryuu is looking to improve his position.
jitsu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ryuu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but jitsu pulls his head out easily.
Ryuu is trying to maintain the position but jitsu is very close to passing his half guard.

jitsu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ryuu's guard.
Ryuu tries to roll over but jitsu keeps him under control.

jitsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ryuu trying to hold on to jitsu's head to control him but jitsu postures up.

Ryuu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. jitsu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ryuu wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
jitsu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ryuu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
jitsu is looking to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ryuu trying to control but he's not successful this time.
jitsu can't escape the position.

jitsu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ryuu is trying to defend but jitsu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
