Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Caps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a series of punches but Caps moves out of range.
Caps tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Caps misses the jab.
Caps tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Johnson as Caps shoots in.
Caps throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Caps chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johnson can pounce on him.

Caps tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.

Caps closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Caps getting side control.
Caps wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Caps throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Caps is pressing down on Johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnson is holding on for now.
Johnson is trying to stand up here but Caps is controlling him well.

Caps is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caps.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Caps shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Caps tries a head kick but it misses.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Caps won't be happy with that.
Caps is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it.
Caps is breathing heavily.

Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Caps to his feet.

Caps throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson.

Caps drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Oh Caps is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson lands a good knee to the midsection. Caps won't want to take too many of those.
Caps seems to have got his legs back now.

Caps tries to stall but Johnson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Caps, pushing him back against the cage.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson throws a head kick that Caps semi-blocks.
Johnson looks to land a combination. Caps sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A left lands for Johnson.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Johnson, right into the meat.
Johnson lands with a kick to the temple. Caps shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Johnson lands a left and a right that send Caps crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Caps stumbling backwards into the cage! Caps bounces back off the cage towards Johnson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Johnson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Johnson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
