Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konnan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Rees has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Konnan King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Rees!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rees tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but King swivels and escapes.

King has closed the distance and engaged Rees in a clinch.
Rees should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
King manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
King throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rees blocks it with crossed arms.

Rees pulls guard.
King won't allow Rees to sweep him here.
King tries to stand but Rees is controlling from the bottom.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rees on the ground.
Rees manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.
Rees tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.
Rees pushes down on King's leg and manages to get into half guard.
King is looking to escape.

Rees is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
King is trying to stand back up but Rees is controlling him

King is trying to get back to full guard.
Rees uses his free foot to push down on King's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for King.

Rees looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Rees throws some wild stikes that King manages to avoid easily.
King is trying to escape the mount.
King wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
King is breathing heavily.
King tries to buck Rees off but Rees takes his back!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rees has eaten all the pies!
King is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
King prevents Rees from getting a body triangle.

Rees has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, King has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Rees is persistently looking for the submission but King is defending it well.
King is trying to get back to his feet but Rees has full control of the position and if anything, King has just worked his way into a worse spot.
I would not like to be King right now.

Rees has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Rees lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Rees.

Rees is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rees is trying to stick to King's back but King is turning into Rees. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rees's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by King.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rees is on top in guard.

Rees wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if King tries to get out of the position.
King is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rees asserts his dominance and retains side control.

King is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rees has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Rees remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

King shoots for a takedown but Rees saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Rees fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. King sprawls well initially but Rees persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
King tries to kick Rees off but Rees keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rees is looking to advance position but King won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rees manages to mount him!
King wants to get back to his feet.

Rees might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control King kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Konnan King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Rees.

Rees is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. King can't fight it off and eventually Rees manages to take the fight to the floor. King looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

King manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rees throws a combination. King tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
King moves in looking to clinch but Rees pushes him off.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rees but Rees pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rees has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. King is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

King is looking to control Rees's arms but Rees gets an underhook and turns him. Now King has his back to the cage.

Kyle Rees showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! King's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Rees changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. King tries to avoid it but Rees manages to keep hold of a leg and drag King to the ground. King escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rees in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. King tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Rees!
