The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRoberts scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bogatirev is looking to regain half guard here but McRoberts keeps moving and retains side control.
McRoberts is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bogatirev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

McRoberts is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bogatirev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bogatirev's back!
Bogatirev is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if McRoberts gets his way!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bogatirev is in a bad position with McRoberts working for a choke. Bogatirev manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Bogatirev got a little sloppy there for a moment and McRoberts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bogatirev has managed to get both his arms back between McRoberts's legs - danger averted.

Bogatirev is sitting in close to McRoberts's body. McRoberts has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bogatirev is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bogatirev is tapping! That was a very nice submission by McRoberts.
