Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Semki Est (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jary Bazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jary Bazu enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Semki Est!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jary Bazu!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Est closes the distance and pushes Bazu back into the cage.

Est pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bazu tries a head kick but it misses.
Est tries a head kick but it misses.
Est takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bazu shoots in for a takedown but Est shows good takedown defense.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bazu is defended easily by Est.
Est blocks a head kick by Bazu.

Est drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Est got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bazu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Est has managed to get both his arms back between Bazu's legs - danger averted.
Bazu looks gassed!

Est showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Bazu has an active guard here but Est has managed to pass into half guard.

Est is working for a kimura but Bazu is defending it quite comfortably.

Est seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Est looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Est is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Bazu is squirming around, avoiding Est's attempts to control the action.

Bazu is bucking up trying to escape but Est cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Est wants to control the pace but Bazu is squirming around nicely.
Bazu sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Est wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bazu keeps working.

Bazu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bazu is looking for a sweep. Est is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Est passes to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Semki Est will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Est moves into range and clinches up with Bazu.
Est controlling the action here for a moment.
Bazu has Est pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Est manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bazu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Est pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bazu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Est is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Est trying to control the position from guard on top but Bazu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Est will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bazu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Est gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Est is pushing down on Bazu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bazu is fighting to maintain full guard but Est has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bazu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Est pulls his head out easily.

Est decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bazu tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Est counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Bazu has an active guard here but Est has managed to pass into half guard.
Est takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Est trying to control the action but Bazu is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Est in particular looking to stall.

Bazu tries to bench press Est off him but Est keeps the position.

Est decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bazu to his feet.
Bazu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Est counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Semki Est has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jary Bazu.
Est content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Est working Bazu over with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Semki Est dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Bazu doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Est counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bazu's guard now.

Bazu isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Est stacks Bazu on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Est!
Est lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bazu down.
Est is looking to take a break and control but Bazu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bazu is trying to improve his position.
Est grinds an elbow into Bazu's temple.
Bazu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee is keeping an eye on Est - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bazu jumps guard but Est stands there with Bazu around his waist. Bazu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Est seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Est is pressing down on Bazu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bazu is holding on for now.
Est is keen to just control but Bazu is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Est decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bazu's guard.

Bazu has a closed guard, preventing Est from standing up.
Est pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bazu is keeping the position for now.

Bazu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Est doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Est manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Semki Est overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Est slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jary Bazu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Semki Est is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Est, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
