Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akiriwo Akiwama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shiva marduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiwama stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from marduk is defended easily by Akiwama.

Akiwama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks marduk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

marduk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Akiwama is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches marduk flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! marduk is out cold! Akiwama holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
