Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernie McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horatio Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Horatio Caine!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Caine wants to pass the guard but McCracken is keeping the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Horatio Caine just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that Caine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Caine avoids the attempt from McCracken to control.
McCracken is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
BOOM! Caine connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McCracken throws a head kick that misses.
McCracken swings and misses with a hook to the body.

McCracken tries to keep at a distance but Caine has taken the fight into the clinch.
McCracken stalling in the clinch but Caine improves position.

McCracken is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Caine is keeping busy.

Caine manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McCracken has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McCracken looks to land a body kick but Caine moved away.

Caine gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Caine drops down looking for an ankle pick but McCracken pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Caine counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Caine passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Caine advances to full mount.
Caine lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McCracken hang on?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Caine wants to finish this one by submission but McCracken is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Caine.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horatio Caine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


McCracken misses with a right hand

and Caine counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Caine advances position into side control!

Caine stands up and beckons McCracken to his feet.
Caine bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McCracken's head.

Caine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McCracken takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
McCracken managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Caine.
Caine tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Caine moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Caine throws a strike aimed at the side of McCracken's head but McCracken avoids it well.
Caine takes a little break here. McCracken wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Caine misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Caine has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Caine sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCracken is looking to reverse the position.
McCracken can't do much from the bottom here.
Caine moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Ernie McCracken has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Horatio Caine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Caine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
