The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urdnot dodges the punch combination from Astin.
Urdnot ducks under a wild hook from Astin.
Urdnot avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Astin tries to clinch but Urdnot is having none of it.

Urdnot shoots in for a takedown but Astin shows good takedown defense.

Urdnot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Astin is fending him off so far but Urdnot persists. Nope, Astin circles away and we're back to standing.
Sean Astin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Astin wants to clinch up but Urdnot keeps it at a distance.
Astin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Urdnot.

Astin throws a right hand that Urdnot ducks under and follows up with a left that Urdnot also avoids with ease.

Sean Astin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Urdnot moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A looping hook to the body misses from Urdnot. Astin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Astin wants to clinch.
Astin takes a swing at Urdnot's ribcage but misses.

Astin throws a right and a left that both miss.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Urdnot displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Astin throws out the jab.
Astin blocks the body kick.
Urdnot circles away from the clinch attempt.

Astin thows a body shot but no joy.
Astin throws a series of punches but Urdnot moves out of range.
Urdnot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Urdnot bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Urdnot is trying to get an arm triangle but Astin is defending well.
Astin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Astin tries to get out of the position.

Urdnot has hold of Astin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Astin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Urdnot cranks the arm and Astin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Astin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
