The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jab, jab by Harris - just one landing.
Harris misses with an uppercut.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Harris swivels and escapes.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Harris tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harris.
Harris lands with an overhand left.
Harris throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.

Harris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Harris persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.
Harris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Silva has momentary wrist control but Harris slips an elbow through the middle.

Harris slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Harris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Harris is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Harris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harris lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Harris is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Harris is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
