Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oh Well!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Well swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McSouthers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Well is not content to let McSouthers control the position.
Well wants to get back to his feet.

McSouthers is stalling here. Well is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McSouthers seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Well has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McSouthers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. McSouthers is now in side control.

Well stops McSouthers from passing to mount.
The ground and pound from McSouthers seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
McSouthers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Well sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McSouthers blocks a head kick by Well.

Well looks to land a combination. McSouthers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Well takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

McSouthers lands a nice hook to Well's body. Well takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Well takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McSouthers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McSouthers connects with a nice short shot to Well's temple.
Well on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
McSouthers wants to free his trapped foot but Well is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McSouthers is nestled in close to Well, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

McSouthers seems to be looking for submissions.
McSouthers looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
McSouthers working over Well with some ground and pound. Well looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
McSouthers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Well's head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McSouthers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

McSouthers has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Well is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. McSouthers yanks on the arm and Well is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by McSouthers.
