Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Morawski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Morawski!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Morawski turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Gracie struggling a bit here.
Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morawski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Morawski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morawski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Morawski gets to mount! Gracie was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie tries to control Morawski's body but Morawski pushes him off. Gracie squirms to his side and now Morawski has his back!
Morawski is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Morawski wants to control the position but Gracie frees himself and scrambles - Morawski manages to regain control in side control.

Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morawski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Morawski tries for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Morawski is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gracie is trying to control Morawski's posture but Morawski avoids it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Morawski defends it nicely.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Morawski tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie tries to stand and escape but Morawski is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Royce Gracie will probably get the nod.

Gracie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Morawski wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Morawski is breathing heavily.
Gracie has Morawski pulled in close to control his posture.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Morawski is looking to advance position but Gracie has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Gracie is looking to advance position but Morawski won't allow it.
Morawski wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Gracie is looking to pass Morawski's guard but actually Morawski recovers to full guard.
Morawski is wriggling around but Gracie manages to pass to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Morawski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Morawski tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

and Morawski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gracie!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Morawski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Gracie wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Morawski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Morawski looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Morawski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Morawski is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morawski is keeping the position for now.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Adam Morawski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Morawski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
