Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zek Weknok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Kevlar soul as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zek Weknok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dean Williams!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weknok swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Good standup being displayed there by Weknok as he connects with a hook.
Weknok fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Williams manages to avoid it.
Weknok misses with the combination.
Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.

Williams is pushing down on Weknok's leg trying to pass to half guard. Weknok is fighting to maintain full guard but Williams has managed to sneak the leg through.
Williams works his foot free and advances to mount.

Williams is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Weknok to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Weknok shrugs it off.

Williams moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Weknok has worked his arm free - good work by Weknok!

Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Weknok has escaped the position, nice work there.
Weknok sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Weknok defends the submission attempt.

Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Williams is working for a kimura but Weknok is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weknok swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Weknok throws a head kick but Williams moves out of range.
Weknok looks for the body kick but Williams saw that one coming.
Weknok is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.
Weknok tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Williams throws a right and a left that Weknok avoids nicely.
Weknok wants to slow Williams down by chopping away at his legs.

Williams takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Weknok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Weknok throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Zek Weknok will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Zek Weknok has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Williams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Weknok.
Weknok does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Weknok lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Williams uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Weknok.
Zek Weknok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Weknok is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Weknok plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williams showed some decent athleticism there.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Weknok defends it well.

Dean Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Williams jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Weknok is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Weknok and Williams has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Weknok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Weknok tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weknok to the ground. Weknok escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Weknok throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily.

Williams slips under a jab from Weknok.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Weknok, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Weknok against the cage but Weknok circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Williams thows a body shot but no joy.
Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weknok pinned against the cage. Weknok gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zek Weknok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Williams.

I think Williams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
