Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cletus Kasady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Burroughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kasady might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Carnage Rules. Burroughs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Simple Man By Shinedown. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasady lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like John Burroughs has been cut.
Burroughs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kasady avoids it really well and circles away.
Kasady scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burroughs shoots for a double leg takedown but Kasady sprawls well. He's pushed Burroughs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Burroughs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burroughs prevents Kasady from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burroughs not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kasady knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burroughs on the ground.
Burroughs trying to control the action but Kasady is working from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Burroughs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kasady sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burroughs somewhat.
Cletus Kasady has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Burroughs.

Burroughs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kasady's waist but Kasady gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burroughs off to one side.
Burroughs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kasady uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burroughs.
Burroughs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kasady as he jumps to the side.

Cletus Kasady is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Burroughs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Burroughs there as he acknowledges the shot.
Burroughs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kasady.
Burroughs has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kasady throws a combination. Burroughs tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kasady moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Burroughs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kasady sprawls well. Kasady wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burroughs gets slowly back to his feet.

Burroughs is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Burroughs shoots in looking for a takedown. Kasady tries to sprawl out of it but Burroughs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kasady manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kasady paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Kasady stuns Burroughs with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Burroughs shoots in looking for a takedown. Kasady tries to sprawl out of it but Burroughs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kasady manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kasady is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kasady stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nice uppercut lands for Kasady. That snapped Burroughs's head back.

That has opened up John Burroughs's cut even more.
Burroughs takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kasady lands with an overhand left.
Burroughs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kasady is working the combinations to good effect here.
Kasady cracks Burroughs with an open hand slap.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kasady scores with a sloppy right hand. Burroughs should have avoided that one.
A jab from Kasady finds it's way through Burroughs's defenses.
Kasady connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Burroughs tumbling to the canvas! Kasady pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Burroughs was done - good stoppage!
