Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yonjiro Fuuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yonjiro Fuuma told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Steele.

Steele shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fuuma's guard.
Steele missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Steele throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fuuma is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fuuma looks to land a combination but Steele avoids it well.

Steele lands a jab to the nose.
Steele fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fuuma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Steele counters with a straight right hand.

Steele feints and as Fuuma raises his hands in defense, Steele changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Steele drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fuuma dives on top into guard.

Steele working for a triangle but Fuuma defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steele has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fuuma can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fuuma throws a big right hand that misses.

Steele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fuuma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fuuma wants to control from the top but Steele keeps moving.
Steele is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Fuuma working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fuuma pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steele is keeping the position for now.

Fuuma won't allow Steele to sweep him here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steele looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Steele wants to sweep but no luck.
Fuuma throwing strikes from guard but Steele blocks nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fuuma in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Steele is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fuuma wants to improve his position but Steele is controlling well.
Steele seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fuuma does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fuuma moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fuuma drops his hands momentarily and Steele takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fuuma swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Steele counters with a takedown into side control.

Fuuma on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Steele wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fuuma keeps working.

Fuuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Steele just content to control the position.
Fuuma tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Steele advances to full mount.
Steele wants to control the pace but Fuuma is squirming around nicely.
Fuuma takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele looking to finish Fuuma with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fuuma!
Steele lands with some strikes.
Steele pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steele lands a big shot there that rocks Fuuma but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fuuma is rocked!
Steele postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Fuuma badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Steele around the waist but Steele pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Steele is the winner by TKO! Steele jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
