The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karim slaps away a takedown attempt from Ulfr, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Karim moves into the clinch.
Ulfr goes for a takedown in the clinch but Karim prevents it.
Ulfr jumps guard but Karim stands there with Ulfr around his waist. Ulfr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Karim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ulfr's efforts to push away.
Ulfr has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Karim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ulfr has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Karim clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Ulfr doesn't have the hooks in and Karim manages to turn into his guard.

Ulfr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Karim stacks Ulfr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Karim!
Ulfr gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ulfr is trying to maintain the position but Karim is very close to passing his half guard.
Ulfr trying to get back to full guard but Karim takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Ulfr wants to hold on but Karim pushes him away.

Karim prevents Ulfr from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ulfr is breathing heavily.

Karim gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Ulfr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karim circles away.
Karim shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ulfr defends it nicely.

Ulfr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Karim is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ulfr is aware though and is defending well.
Ulfr is looking to advance position but Karim has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Karim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ulfr's half guard.
Ulfr gets back to full guard.
Ulfr is trying to control the position but Karim postures up.

Ulfr has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Karim off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Frost Ulfr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ulfr tries to close the distance and clinch but Karim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ulfr doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Karim counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ulfr looking for subs off his back but Karim has passed one foot through into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ulfr wants to stand but Karim is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ulfr fails to land the takedown.
Mat Karim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ulfr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Karim sprawls well initially but Ulfr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ulfr thows a huge punch but Karim dodges it nicely.
Ulfr is pressing down on Karim's thigh, looking to free his foot. Karim is holding on for now.

Ulfr is looking for a kimura but Karim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ulfr to get the leverage.
Karim moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Karim has his feet on Ulfr's thighs here. He's pushed Ulfr off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ulfr screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
