And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hanson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hanson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hanson is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hanson's face.

Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hanson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Johnson lands a nice short elbow.

Hanson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hanson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hanson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hanson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Johnson has hold of Hanson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hanson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Johnson cranks the arm and Hanson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hanson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
