PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Fagundes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fagundes has chosen Primo Victoria as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fagundes shoots in but Boyka avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Fagundes pushes Boyka off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boyka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fagundes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fagundes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fagundes!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boyka parries the strikes from Fagundes easily there. Fagundes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boyka to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
