Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rya Koc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabio Melo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Melo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rya Koc!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koc lands with a right hand.

Melo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Koc to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Melo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koc has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Melo has managed to get both his arms back between Koc's legs - danger averted.

Koc is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Melo is staying active.
Melo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Melo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Koc to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Koc shrugs it off.
