Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Martin Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo DeCavalcante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enzo DeCavalcante!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeCavalcante bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
DeCavalcante working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
DeCavalcante wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morales keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morales takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Morales is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but DeCavalcante has just dragged him back down to the mat.

DeCavalcante bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Morales's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as DeCavalcante accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

DeCavalcante drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DeCavalcante jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Morales is looking to clinch but DeCavalcante is avoiding it.
DeCavalcante shoots for a takedown but Morales saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Morales stuffs the takedown attempt from DeCavalcante. DeCavalcante gets slowly back to his feet.

DeCavalcante throws a sloppy strike and Morales uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Morales has ended up in DeCavalcante's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
DeCavalcante is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morales sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Morales pushes DeCavalcante away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, DeCavalcante gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Enzo DeCavalcante showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


No luck for DeCavalcante with that takedown attempt.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Morales looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by DeCavalcante! Submission of the night perhaps?
