The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Ruso stuffs the takedown attempt from Blaze. Blaze gets slowly back to his feet.
La Ruso stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and La Ruso wants it to stay on the feet.
La Ruso gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Blaze is fighting to break La Ruso's control of his arms but La Ruso is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blaze drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and La Ruso dives on top into guard.

Blaze is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! La Ruso rolls with it to try and escape but Blaze cranks on the arm and La Ruso is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
