Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Dingo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dawkins Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to clinch up.
Sanchez checks a low kick from Dingo.
Dingo lands a head shot.
Dingo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dingo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanchez clinches.
Sanchez is working for takedown but Dingo is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sanchez can't get the takedown.
Dingo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dingo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dingo lands with a hook. Sanchez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dingo. Sanchez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Dingo. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt.
Matt Dingo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawkins Sanchez.
Dingo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Dingo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dingo pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Dingo throws the kick towards the body but Sanchez avoids it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sanchez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dingo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
A right hand to the body from Dingo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanchez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sanchez can't break the clinch.
Sanchez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dingo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sanchez looks gassed!
Dingo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice straight punches there by Dingo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dingo.
Good exchange - Dingo coming out on top.
Matt Dingo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dingo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sanchez. Sanchez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Dawkins Sanchez has been cut.
Dingo looks to land a combination. Sanchez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Sanchez is rocked!
Dingo tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Dingo finish him?
Dingo flashes Sanchez a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Sanchez's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Sanchez crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Dingo punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
