Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Joker & The Thief. Wyatt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tori Amos-Sleeps with Butterflies. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Wyatt!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wyatt gets a takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Wyatt seems content to control.
Jackson gets full guard.
Wyatt trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wyatt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Jackson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Wyatt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jackson has his foot on Wyatt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wyatt works his way back into a safe position though.

Wyatt working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Wyatt controlling him for the moment.
Wyatt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wyatt trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wyatt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jackson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wyatt somewhat.
Wyatt throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wyatt.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Wyatt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jon Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Wyatt.
Wyatt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wyatt takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wyatt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wyatt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wyatt is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackson's half guard.
Wyatt looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wyatt is keen to just control but Jackson is a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nice takedown defense from Wyatt. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wyatt.

Wyatt closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wyatt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wyatt's back!
Wyatt trying to control the action but Jackson just sinks the hooks in.

Jackson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Wyatt won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jackson off his unconscious opponent!
