The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos loads up on a big right hand but Overeem slips the punch.
Overeem uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Santos.
Overeem lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Santos backs up against the cage.
Overeem misses with a jab, cross combination.
Overeem misses with a two punch combination.
Overeem swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Overeem misses with a two punch combination.
A combination from Overeem does no damage.
Santos looks for the body kick but Overeem saw that one coming.
Overeem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Santos feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Overeem sprawling to the canvas! Overeem rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Santos finish him?!

It looks like Romeo Remy Overeem has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Overeem clinches up with Santos and pushes him back against the cage.
Overeem wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Santos lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Overeem backwards.

Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Santos scores with a shot to the body.
Overeem is breathing heavily.
Overeem switches off momentarily and Santos cracks him with a monster right hand! Overeem topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Santos dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Santos!
