The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shidoshi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Shidoshi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brasher has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sloppy strikes there by Shidoshi.
Brasher struggling a bit here.
Brasher is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Shidoshi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brasher, who protects the arm well.
Shidoshi is staying tight to Brasher's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Brasher can't do much from the bottom here.
Brasher is not content to let Shidoshi control the position.
Brasher tries to bench press Shidoshi off him but Shidoshi keeps the position.
Brasher looks to move to half guard but instead Shidoshi has passed into mount! Damn!
