Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orin Niswender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Superbeast. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niswender tries to clinch there but Rivers circles away.
Niswender doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rivers throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Niswender on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rivers. Rivers obviously looking to wear him down.
Niswender is looking to clinch but Rivers is avoiding it.
Niswender moves in looking to clinch but Rivers pushes him off.
Niswender wants to clinch up but Rivers keeps it at a distance.
Niswender uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rivers.
Niswender tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Niswender defending well as Rivers loads up on a big left hand.
Rivers jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Orin Niswender has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab lands there for Rivers.
Niswender takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Niswender looks gassed!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rivers.
Niswender takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rivers scores with a punch to the head.
BOOM! Rivers lands a beautiful left hook that drops Niswender. Niswender tries to recover but Rivers is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Niswender lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Rivers!
