PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Carlos jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos jr comes into the arena with Jarrid Mendelson - The Ultimate Fighter blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Carlos jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Higgins!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Carlos jr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Higgins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carlos jr is trying to defend but Higgins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Higgins stops Carlos jr from getting back to his feet.
Higgins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carlos jr's head.

John Higgins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

John Higgins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
