Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between ray leonards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanji Yokohama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yokohama fails with a takedown attempt.
Yokohama closes this distance looking for a takedown but leonards circles away.
leonards fails with an attempt to clinch.

Yokohama darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Yokohama is nestled in close to leonards, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Yokohama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
leonards wants to get back to his feet.

Yokohama wants to control but leonards is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
leonards leaves Yokohama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
ray leonards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sanji Yokohama.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

leonards shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yokohama is trying to defend but leonards finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
leonards lands a big shot there that rocks Yokohama but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

leonards has hold of Yokohama's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Yokohama manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

leonards jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Yokohama manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Yokohama is looking for a sweep.

leonards creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Yokohama tries to bench press leonards off him but leonards keeps the position.

leonards has hold of Yokohama's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Yokohama tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - leonards cranks the arm and Yokohama screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Yokohama, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
