The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kosmo shoots in and bounces Batista off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Batista is looking to stand up but Kosmo isn't so interested in that idea.
Kosmo is looking to work some ground and pound but Batista has wrist control.
Batista utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kosmo with a flurry of punches that miss.

Kosmo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kosmo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Batista's guard.
Kosmo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kosmo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kosmo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Batista wants to control but Kosmo is keeping busy.
Kosmo lands strikes from half guard.
Batista blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kosmo.

Kosmo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Batista works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Batista is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kosmo frees his head nicely. Oh but Batista has switched to an armbar! Kosmo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
