Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heilong Liu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heilong Liu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heilong Liu!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liu swivels and escapes.
Brown fails with the takedown.

Liu pushes Brown up against the cage in a clinch.
Liu is pressed up against the cage. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Liu down to the mat. Liu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Liu feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Liu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Liu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Liu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Liu controls the pace.

Brown wants to improve his position but Liu is controlling well.

Brown is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Liu pulls his head out easily.
Liu tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Brown.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Liu gets a takedown into half guard.
Brown is breathing heavily.
Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Liu sits in half guard.
It looks like Liu is going to stand back up.

Brown is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Liu pulls his head out easily.
Brown tries to roll over but Liu keeps him under control.
Liu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brown is working hard here to advance position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Liu in particular looking to stall.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Liu or perhaps it was just good defense by Brown which made him look bad.
Brad Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Liu counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Liu darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown is looking to improve his position.
Liu seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Brown moves into full guard.
Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Liu is one step ahead there.

Brown has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Liu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brown.
Check out the look on Liu's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Brown is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Brown is not content to let Liu control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liu decides to stand back up.

and Liu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Brown regains full guard. Nicely done.

Brown bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
